Escape to the Chateau's Angel breaks silence on show's return – and fans have a lot to say | The Sun

ESCAPE to the Chateau's Angel Strawbridge has broken her silence on the show's return – and fans have a lot to say.

The Channel 4 show has been off our screens since December last year, when series eight finished.

While Angel and husband Dick, 62, keep fans up to date on what they're up to at the Chateau via social media, fans have been desperate for the show to return.

Now Angel, 44, has revealed during an interview that series nine of Escape to the Chateau would be on TV by the end of the year.

While she didn't give an exact date or month, fans were thrilled to learn they wouldn't have too much longer to wait.

One wrote: "Thanks so much for a great interview and I can't wait for the next series."

In the meantime, the couple have been working on a spin-off show.

Taking to the Frequently Asked Questions section of their website, the couple responded to a question about whether they would do a separate series focusing on their travels away from the chateau.

They said: "We have actually been planning a travel show for a while…unfortunately lockdown has meant that we have had to put this on the backburner.
