Good Morning Britain fans were quick to point out Susanna Reid's absence on Monday morning (February 13) after she was replaced by Ranvir Singh and Robert Rinder.

The 52-year-old, who usually hosts the ITV show on Mondays, was nowhere to be seen as she took a break from her usual presenting duties.

But those who are used to seeing the broadcaster on their screens didn't hesitate to highlight her absence as most were aware that she was enjoying a well-deserved half- term break.

Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts.

One spectator joked: "Susanna Reid gets more days off than school teachers!"

Another said: "How come #Susanna still has half terms off. Her kids are adults."

While a third questioned: "Is this the half-term staff?"

The news of Susanna's recent leave comes as it was recently reported that she was given an "offer" to front "new shows" at ITV, after tensions were allegedly rising on the set of the morning news programme.

According to reports, ITV are said to be working on a string of "phenomenal programming ideas" in a bid to ensure Susanna stays with GMB as reports claimed she may have wanted "quit" due to a number of embarrassing blunders made by colleagues off-screen.

In recent weeks, it was said that Susanna was "left furious" after a number of spelling mistakes were made with the on-screen text.

Dismissing any rumours that there is tension on the GMB set, a source told OK!: "Susanna and the team are looking forward to some phenomenal programming ideas on GMB later this year, all ones which Susanna and the team have worked on very closely together.

"Add to this that GMB is seeing some of its best viewing figures since launch and continuing to win prestigious award nominations – the show is in great shape and Susanna remains a key part of this success."

It is alleged that one of the mistakes that annoyoed Susanna was the misspelling of news correspondent Ben Chapman’s name, who was reporting live from Ukraine.

Ben’s surname was spelt "Champan" on-screen.
