Jeremy Kyle Shows most radical makeovers include a £10k teeth glam-up

Gemma Swift on The Jeremy Kyle Show

Jeremy Kyle’s tabloid talk show aired on ITV from 2005 until 2019 when it was cancelled following the suspected suicide of a guest.

The show drew in a huge audience for its confrontations amongst guests as they tried to resolve their personal spats.

Viewers have also noticed how the show has been responsible for some of the most drastic makeovers.

As some contributors were inspired to turn their lives around, their latest looks have reflected their efforts.

Express.co.uk has rounded up some of the biggest transformations from the show.

Gemma Swift

Gemma first appeared on the show back in 2015 as she opened up to the host about a love triangle.

Whilst explaining how she was being harassed by her boyfriend’s ex, she revealed she often felt close to tears after cruel trolls poked fun at her teeth.

Her protruding teeth had been damaged in an accident when she was six years old.

The show paid £10,000 for her to have dental work and she showed off her new smile in a later episode.

She said: “It’s changed my life. I can look in the mirror now and not worry about anything. I’m a whole different person now.”

Michelle Wallace

In 2019 Michelle appeared on the show after her sister April decided to intervene when it came to her heroin addiction.

Michelle would spend £120 a day and was labelled a “thief” by her family.

After appearing on the show she was placed in a 10-week rehab programme and updated viewers on her progress a year later.

She said: “I’m doing great. I love waking up every morning. I’ve got something to wake up for.”

Jonathan Kingston

In 2017, Jonathan was taken onto the show by his mother Sue, who feared he would die as he weighed a whopping 30 stone.

He would binge on takeaways daily and as he was unemployed, he did very little exercise.

Following his stint on the show he signed up for a 12-week military-style boot camp, losing an impressive seven stone.

He now plays football and does martial arts with his son.

Lukas

Lukas first appeared on the show as a heroin addict looking dishevelled as he begged Jeremy for help to get clean.

His girlfriend Charlie was desperate for him to change and so he joined a six-week rehab program in the hope of transforming himself.

After completing rehab he was unrecognisable and returned to the show to surprise his pregnant girlfriend.

He told the host: “The first couple of weeks were a struggle, but I was positive all the way through. I wanted it Jeremy, I really wanted it.

“The staff there were amazing, they carried me through. They’ve shown me nothing but support.”
