Kim Woodburn calls for Holly Willoughby to be sacked from This Morning

Kim Woodburn says Holly and Phil should be ‘sacked’

Holly Willoughby is expected to return to host This Morning on June 5 after Phillip Schofield dramatically quit all his roles on ITV.

However, speaking on GB News, Kim Woodburn – who has been outspoken about Phillip in the past – claimed ITV should “get shot” of the host.

Asked by Dan Wootton if This Morning should be axed, Kim replied: “I have very mixed emotions about that.

“A nice morning show with families and mums sitting there is a nice thing.”

However, she added: “This show is so tainted and gross. I don’t want to see it go off but I think it should.

“I think it should come back in a different format with different people. It’s been so ruined by Schofield but let’s not give up and let’s start again.

“It should be taken off, and reviewed, and a decent show put back on.”

Dan noted Holly is hoping to relaunch This Morning upon her return and Kim scoffed at the idea.

She ranted: “Get shot of that little impy wimpy woman, she will not be missed.”

Following Phillip’s admission he had an on-off relationship with a male colleague who worked on This Morning, Holly shared a statement on her Instagram story slamming her former co-host as a “liar”.

She wrote: “It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

“It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie. Holly.”

ITV confirmed it did investigate rumours of a relationship between Phillip and an employee in 2020.

An ITV Spokesperson told Express.co.uk on Saturday: “Further to our statement last night, ITV can confirm that when rumours of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an employee of ITV first began to circulate in early 2020 ITV investigated.

“Both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours as did Phillip’s then agency YMU.

“In addition, ITV spoke to a number of people who worked on This Morning and were not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour.

“Phillip’s statement yesterday reveals that he lied to people at ITV, from senior management to fellow presenters, to YMU, to the media and to others over this relationship.”

Dan Wootton Tonight airs on GB News from 9pm Monday-Thursday.
