Former Loose Women star Carol McGiffin has shared her opinion on This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's ongoing feud as she described Phillip as "so bloody rude".

Appearing on GB News, the 63-year-old failed to mince her words and said it was evident that Holly and Phillip no longer get along.

Carol then reflected on the time she appeared on This Morning to promote her book and said she couldn't believe how 61-year-old Phillip treated her.

Speaking to GB News host, Dan Wotten, Carol said: "Phillip was there but he wasn’t very nice, to be honest.

"He treated me as though it’s like ‘oh another Loose Woman with another book’ and I kind of get that but it was just like he was so not interested that it was a struggle.

"I was giggling and laughing actually because I couldn’t believe he was being so bloody rude."

In addition to this, Carol also mentioned that Phillip would rude to a number of people, especially those who he considered to be "further down the food chain in TV".

However, Carol isn’t the only well-known face to label Phillip as "rude" as TV personality Kim Woodburn also branded the presenter "obnoxious" and said he previously "insulted" her.

Appearing via video link, Kim also told GB News: "I have had so many run-ins. He is an obnoxious, horrible man and I don't know why he's still on television.

"I went on his show and he insulted me, he was rude, he was horrible. He was laughing at me – he was absolutely sniggering at me."

The news comes after reports claimed that TV bosses are said to be considering a "seismic" shake-up on ITV's This Morning.

This is due to reports that Phillip and co-presenter Holly Willoughby are "barely talking" off-screen after the pair had an alleged fallout.

The Sun also reported that Phillip and This Morning editor and producer Martin Frizell could be pulled from the show.

Shedding light on the situation, an insider said: "This Morning is preparing for some seismic changes this summer — and Phil is lined up as the first major name for the chop when his contract expires this summer.

"It’s highly unlikely he’ll be back in September.

"Plans are being drawn up for a new look This Morning and, at the moment, Phil is not featuring in them."

Daily Star has contacted Phillip's representatives for comment.
