Love Island viewers claim Molly Marsh was ‘planted’ by bosses

Molly Marsh has been getting cosy with Love Island co-star Mitchel Taylor who initially said he was closed off with Molly and wasn’t looking to get to know anyone else.

However, after the second bombshell, Sammy Root, entered the villa and first bombshell Zachariah Noble admitted to being sexually attracted to Molly she had her pick of the bunch.

Whilst Molly is dealing with who she wants to be with in the villa, despite re-coupling with Mitchell, some fans have claimed they worked out the ITV star was planted by bosses.

Scouring through her social media, NoEmotion4496 shared a snap of Molly outside the iconic villa from her Instagram on Reddit and noted: “Apparently, Molly worked behind the scenes on Love Island.”

Mankah replied: “Zach’s sister Snoochie Shy is a radio DJ that was on ITV’s I’m a Celeb. Molly’s mum works with ITV and she worked on ads for the villa last year. Tyrique is childhood friends with Toby and ran his socials while he was in the villa.”

Jamira360 added: “I’m tired of the influencers. The only influencer I think I’ve liked is Whitney shouting out her wig business. The tears in the first week are so unserious.”

No_Walk4622 commented: “I have to say it she does feel a bit like an ITV production plant and tbh it’s kind of off-putting.”(sic)

idklol234 penned: “The way she’s coming off to me at least on the show is too trained and prepared….. I really hope they don’t turn it into the Molly show…”

However, not all Reddit users agreed with the comments as MyNamesChakkaoofka defended: “Technically she’s an influencer who was invited to the villa to do a bts video to promote the previous season.”

When Molly was first announced as an Islander on the show, a source revealed to The Sun: “Molly was scouted after visiting the villa in South Africa earlier this year.

“She was on the tour as an invited guest when she caught the eyes of producers. Molly made it clear she would love to be a part of Love Island and she was told to audition.

“After going through the process, she’s now a shoo-in to fly to Majorca later this month. She is a star on the rise and comes from a showbiz family.

“Her mum Janet even had small roles on Coronation Street and Still Open All Hours. Molly has made it clear she’s got what it takes to make a bang and ITV love her.”

Molly even predicted that fans would wonder if she was planted in the villa and added to The Sun: “I hope people don’t see me as a plant.

“I don’t want people to think that it’s been an easy route just because I’ve been to the villas. It has been a long and hard process. It’s been difficult.”

Love Island airs weeknights and Sundays from 8pm on ITV2.
