Madonna shocks fans with unrecognizable appearance in first photo of singer 3 weeks after scary hospitalization | The Sun

MADONNA has shocked fans with her unrecognizable appearance in the first photos of the singer since she was hospitalized three weeks ago.

The hitmaker was rushed to an intensive care unit after she was found unresponsive due to a serious bacterial infection.

On Tuesday, Madonna, 64, shared the first photos since being released from the hospital on her Instagram account.

The Desperately Seeking Susan actress captioned the post: "'A single rose can be my garden. A single friend my world,'" before adding a simple, "Thank You."

The photo showed Madonna with her eyes closed hugging a giant bouquet of pink roses.

The singer donned a white and pink shirt, wore little makeup, and had her blonde hair pulled back into a braid for the close-up snapshot.

In the comment section, one fan wrote: "Very happy to see you’re taking care of yourself first."

Another person commented: "I hope you're feeling better."

"How beautiful! That’s a bouquet! Love you," added a third.

While a fourth commenter remarked: "I haven’t seen you look so well in a longtime. Beauty is radiating from you in this photo, @madonna!"

Madonna also uploaded a pair of selfies holding a plushie to her Instagram Stories.

In the first photo, the Like A Virgin artist held the stuffed toy close to her chest as she stared a the camera and showed off her dark red lipstick.

In the second, the singer took refuge behind the toy just peeking out enough over the top so that her eyes and wavy blonde hair could be seen.

HEALTH UPDATE

Last week, a grateful Madonna broke her silence after a severe bacterial infection left her hospitalized in intensive care.

The iconic singer was set to kick start her highly anticipated Celebration Tour in mid-July before being forced to postpone it after her team discovered her unresponsive in her New York City home on June 24.

Two weeks after her health scare, Madonna, a seven-time Grammy winner, informed her millions of followers on Instagram that she is on the road to recovery.

"Thank you for your positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement," she wrote.

"I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.

"My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.

"My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.

"I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.

"My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I'll be back with you as soon as I can!"

Madonna announced that she will be rescheduling the North American leg of her Celebration Tour and instead will kick start the tour in October in Europe.

"I couldn't be more grateful for your care and support. Love, M," she closed out her statement.

The Material Girl singer did not announce new dates for the rescheduled North American shows.

MADONNA HOSPITALIZED

Madonna spent several days in the intensive care unit after collapsing from a bacterial infection, her manager Guy Oseary revealed.

She had been battling a low-grade fever for a month before her body broke down on her, sources told TMZ.

Madonna "ignored her symptoms" and never got checked out by a doctor because she was focused on rehearsing for her upcoming tour, TMZ reported citing sources.

The Vogue singer's health scare injected fear into her family members, who "admitted they feared losing her."

An unnamed relative told the Daily Mail that her infection was so grave that the family believed Madonna might not survive.

Madonna had reportedly been working around the clock, pulling 12-hour days for weeks in preparation for her upcoming tour.

Her relative said that the health scare brought the family together and served as a wake-up call for the singer.

TELL-TALE SIGN

The Hung Up singer looked exhausted in Instagram photos taken just a few days before she was rushed to hospital.

An unsmiling Madonna looked somber and serious in many of the pics.

She captioned the photos: "The Calm Before The Storm………."

The photos showed Madge getting ready for her upcoming tour – which, as mentioned, is now on hold.

Among the concerning pics shared by the pop megastar was one of her sprawled out lying on the floor.

Her eyes were closed and she placed one hand on her stomach.

In another photo, the Grammy winner's eyes looked glossy and heavy while getting her hair done.
