Married At First Sight stars confirm new romance after denying E4 ‘wife swap

Two Married At First Sight stars have confirmed their romance after weeks of denials – insisting they were not in a ‘wife swap’ romance.

However, now Matt Murray and Marilyse Elena Corrigan have confirmed they are an item with a very sweet social media post.

Matt appeared on the last series of E4 dating show MAFS UK, ditching his new wife Gemma to couple up with rival bride Whitney.

But the pair didn’t last due to issues with distance, barber Matt confirmed after filming drew to a close.

Marilyse, meanwhile, appeared on the 2021 series with short-lived husband Franky Spencer – though things didn’t last between them either.

Now Marilyse and Matt have recoupled, sharing an adorable snap on their Instagram pages.

In one snap, Marilyse could be seen cuddled up to the tattooed hunk, eyes closed and with her chin resting in her hand as Matt gazed at her soppily.

The personal trainer captioned her post: “Happpy!!”, which Matt soon re-shared to his own Stories, captioning it simply: “This.”

It comes after the pair jetted off to Turkey together on a romantic getaway, while keeping their relationship status under wraps.

And it might not be their first rodeo, as Marilyse confirmed during a podcast appearance that she had “dated” someone from the 2022 series of MAFS – but refused to reveal his identity.

The former bride was teased in a game of Never Have I Ever: “Never have I ever dated anyone from the new cast” – to which she sipped her drink.

She added: “I won't say any names, because I would never do that, but yes I dated someone briefly at the end of last year who's on the new show."

It comes after the pair denied they were dating, with Marilyse’s representatives issuing a statement which read: “Matt has gone to recover from the trauma of the show, as you’ll have seen last night. It’s taken a toll on his emotional wellbeing.

"Marilyse knows oh too well how the public reaction can impact the mental health of the men on the show as she saw how it impacted Frankie.

"So she’s being nothing more than a supportive friend to him whilst other friends from the show are filming the Christmas reunion.”
