Meghan Markle in tears as Harry vows to protect his family in Netflix trailer

Meghan Markle can be seen crying in the trailer of her new Netflix documentary.

Prince Harry and Meghan have decided to share an inside look at their life with fans, as they show what goes on "behind closed doors".

Meghan can be seen in an emotional display as Harry vows to protect his family in the promo clip.

It will be titled Harry & Meghan and Netflix has now released a minute-long for the show.

The documentary series promises to go into detail about the pair’s exit from the Royal Family as Harry vows during the promo he “had to protect” his loved ones.

The trailer opens with a collection of personal snaps and photographs of Harry and Meghan during the early days of their romance.

In the clip, a producer can be heard asking Harry: "Why did you want to make this documentary?"

To which he replied: "No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors."

He added: "I had to do everything I could to protect my family."

During the conversation, personal photos of the couple from their early days until now are shown.

As the pictures take an emotional turn, Meghan can be seen crying, with Harry throwing himself back in his chair.

As the trailer comes to an end, the Suits star says to the camera: "When the stakes were this high…

"Doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?"

Talking about the new show, Meghan previously revealed: “[It’s] the piece of my life I haven't been able to share, that people haven't been able to see, is our love story.”

The series was rumoured to be pushed back until 2023, but more recently Netflix has promised that it will be “coming soon”.

An insider told Page Six last month: “Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language.

“But it's their story, from their own mouths."
