IN March 2022 it was announced that singer Tom Parker had tragically passed away after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The year 33-year-old leaves behind children Aurelia and Bodhi, as well as his wife Kelsey.

Who was Tom Parker?

Born August 4, 1988, Thomas Anthony Parker was an English singer best known for being a member of British-Irish boy band The Wanted.

He was born and raised in Bolton, Manchester.

The Wanted released three studio albums with their eponymous debut album reaching number four on the UK Albums Chart with their two singles, All Time Low and Glad You Came both topping the UK Singles Chart.

In 2014, the band announced that they would be taking a hiatus but were keen to work together in the future – and they did just that.

In 2022, the band reunited to take on a UK tour – Tom missed the initial shows to undergo pioneering treatment on his brain cancer in Spain.

However, the brave star joined his bandmates on stage for the final time in Liverpool.

Aside from music, Tom appeared on several reality shows including Celebrity MasterChef, The Jump and The Real Full Monty.

On March 30, 2022, Tom Parker passed away at home surrounded by his family.

"Our hearts are broken.

"Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.''

What type of cancer did Tom Parker have?

On October 12, 2020, Tom revealed he been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour known as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).

He was given just 18 months to live, but the brave singer defied the odds after undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

This devasting diagnosis affects more than 2,000 people in the UK each year.

The symptoms to look for are:

  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loss of balance
  • Mood swings
  • Problems speaking
  • Problems with memory or concentration
  • Seizures
  • Impaired vision

Before his passing, Tom wrote a heartbreaking book about detailing his brave battle.

Who is Tom Parker's wife Kelsey Parker?

Born Kelsey Hardwick on March 7, 1990, Kelsey Parker is an English actress, vlogger and owner of a fashion boutique.

She is best known for playing a Hogwarts student in the third Harry Potter film, Prisoner of Azkaban, but has appeared in several other films such as Abducted and Legacy.

As a young girl, Kelsey started dancing at the age of five and went on to graduate from the Italia Conti school with a performing arts diploma when she was 19.

Aside from being an influencer, Kelsey is the owner of fashion boutique Kelsey Loves and the co-founder of performing arts academy K2K Stars with pal Kelsey Gallagher.

Kelsey became Mrs Parker in July 2018 after the couple wed in a romantic ceremony in the grounds of Ridge Farm in Surrey, England, surrounded by their family and closest friends.

Tom and Kelsey share two children – Aurelia Rose and Bodhi Thomas.
