Many viewers have struggled to sit through the 2009 American supernatural film starring Renée Zellweger and Bradley Cooper.

Renée's character Emily Jenkins is a social worker in Oregon who is assigned to investigate the family of Lillith Sullivan, a troubled ten-year-old girl.

Emily suspects that the parents have been abusing Lillith and begins to investigate the family further.

Her suspicion is later confirmed when Lillith calls Emily in the middle of the night, informing her that her parents are coming to kill her.

Emily saves Lillith after her parents trap her in an oven and try to bake her alive.
