New mum Shaughna Phillips says she's 'struggling' as she reveal photos of newborn days after giving birth | The Sun

LOVE Island's Shaughna Phillips has opened up about life as a new mum as she shared snaps of her daughter Lucia.

The reality star, who shot to fame on the ITV2 show in 2020, confirmed she gave birth to her baby girl earlier this week.



Shaughna, 28, welcomed Lucia into the world on 4 April 2023.

Since then she's been updating fans with her journey into motherhood on social media.

Sharing a sweet snap of Lucia, Shaughna said on her Instagram story: "I can't wait to talk to you all about my birth story. I have a wild ride lol.

"But honestly, it doesn't matter how she got here, what matters is that she's here safe and sound.

"I definitely struggled not being able to do much for Lucia myself because of my recovery, but the support I've had from family is more than I could ever ask for!"

She later took to her grid to share some pictures from a walk with her baby girl.

"Lucia’s first dog walk," Shaughna said.

"Everything is so scary all of a sudden, cars are too loud, pavements are too bumpy, but we made it my dream girl."

The Love Island star revealed one of her parenting struggles yesterday.

The former reality TV favourite took to her Instagram to reveal she had been finding it hard to pump milk for her baby girl.

Sharing a photo of her barely-filled pump bottle, the star said it took "nearly tears" to produce less than 50ml of breast milk.

Holding up the bottle for the camera, she took to her Instagram stories to reveal her struggle to pump.

"This took blood, sweat and nearly tears," she wrote, alongside a laughing emoji, as she snapped away in her living room.

Days before she shared an adorable first video of her newborn daughter.
