Owen Warner admits he’s only just stopped crying as he arrives home from I’m A Celebrity | The Sun

I'M A Celebrity star Owen Warner said he has been crying non-stop since arriving back home in the UK.

The actor – who plays Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap – narrowly missed out on being crowned king of the jungle this weekend.

Owen, 23, became a huge fan favourite on this year's I'm A Celebrity and placed second, just behind Lioness Jill Scott.

The TV star said the experience has been "overwhelming" and has been left in floods of tears by the public response.

Sharing a touching video message on social media, Owen said: "Hi guys, I hope you're alright, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry I haven't been active on here.

" I just turned my phone on yesterday when I got back to England, mainly because I just stopped bawling my eyes out when I think of all the messages of support from you guys, my friends, my family, it's all just been a bit mad."

The soap star said he's been flooded with positive messages and blown away by fans kind reaction.

"If I was to say thank you, it wouldn't scratch the surface for how grateful I am," he continued.

"It's also been overwhelming, when you're in there, you don't think about the people who are voting for you on the outsideand there was going to be support for me, that didn't cross my mind.

"It's really weird, you forget you're being filming, I was just in a jungle having a crease with my mates, so to come out and see all of this is crazy."

Getting accustomed to his newfound fame, Owen went on: "It feels like I've woken up in a different world.

"It's a lot for my little head to get used to.

"I'm just grateful and really thankful, I'm just waffling because I'm genuinely lost for words all the time, when I think of all the lovely things that have been said.

"So so many words, beautiful messages, and I'm going to be working my way through it replying.

"But I've only just got my phone back and I'm trying to not go on it all the time with family and friends.

"I love you all, I sound like Beyonce saying that."

Although Owen wasn't crowned the winner, fans believe that he will land his own six-part TV series and think he is too famous for Hollyoaks now.

Taking to Reddit, one fan posted:" I’d like to see Owen have his own six part series where he goes to different parts of the world and meets all these different types of people and sees the biggest sights in the world.
