Phillip Schofield desperately tries to make Holly laugh but fans brand it fake

This Morning: Phil tries to make Holly laugh

Phillip tried to make Holly laugh on Monday as the pair were sharing what was coming up on This Morning.

As Holly was speaking, she accidentally made a strange “Ah” noise which Phillip instantly picked up on.

He kept repeating the funny sound she made when Holly stopped talking in a bid to make her chuckle.

She giggled but viewers felt the laughter was “fake” and “forced” amid rumours of their ongoing “rift”.

Grace penned: “The fake jolly laughs on This Morning are nauseating. Hurry up and get rid of Schofield. #thismorning.”

Emma shared: “It’s the body language, forced smiles and laughs #ThisMorning.”

Nicole Williams shared a clip of Phillip making Holly laugh in the past after she made a “funny noise”.

She captioned the video: “All the fake laughs #ThisMorning.”

James Foster penned: “A PR disaster for #ThisMorning. Trending for all the wrong reasons.

“They need to sort the Holly and Phil situation asap. It’s clear one (or both!) of them need to go as the partnership has broken down.”

However, other viewers felt the relationship between Holly and Phillip seemed perfectly fine.

The pair have not addressed their alleged feud on the ITV show, despite it being published in many national newspapers on Monday.

Stuart Young remarked: “#Thismorning Twitter is exactly what I thought it would be – everyone expecting Phillip and Holly to have drama; seeing no drama whatsoever and brand them both as fake.

“Has it ever crossed anyone’s mind that there’s no drama at all and two people on TV actually like each other?”

A This Morning representative has been contacted by Express.co.uk for comment.

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVX.
