Love Island saw a show first during Tuesday night's episode (July 18) when superstar singer Rita Ora admitted who her favourite islander was in front of the whole group.

The star, 32, made her surprise entrance during the villa crew's exciting trip to the beach club, where they had a VIP party, and four islanders were sent home in a double dumping.

As the gang arrived to see The Voice coach already belting out some hits on the makeshift pool stage, the group collectively squealed in excitement.

But as the islanders started partying away, Jess Harding couldn't stop from gushing over Rita as she told her she loved her boots.

As the singer showed off her matching white crochet outfit and cowboy-style boots with a grin, Rita couldn't resist revealing her true feelings.

Booming into the microphone, she announced: "I love you Jess, you're so f***ing amazing."

Stunned to hear the star showing her favouritism, Jess's jaw dropped open in shock as she tried to stop herself from screaming with joy.

Abi Moores turned to her friend and gave her a hug, as the islanders cheered for Jess's happy moment.

Later on, Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki also had a proud moment as presenter Maya Jama announced that the duo were the nation's favourite and most compatible couple.

"Get yourself with the good guy ladies," Whitney declared excitedly, before realising that she and Lochan would have to choose one of the least compatible couples to go home.

Amber Wise and Josh Brocklebank were dumped from the island immediately by the public vote, but Whitney and Lochan unfortunately were tasked with deciding which couple to send home out of the other two.

With Mitchel Taylor and Ella Barnes, and Kady McDermott and Ouzy See fighting for survival and trying to convince them they should stay, Whitney and Lochan had a tough decision on their hands.

In the end, the safe islanders picked Kady and Ouzy to go home, as they believed there is more potential for Mitch and Ella.

Mitch thanked Whitney and Lochan for saving them, as he said he was "speechless" and he and Ella just needed a "bit more time" to get closer in the villa.

"I'm fine with it because I know we have a connection, and we'll continue it on the outside," Kady then assured the presenter. "They're just getting started so I think they need to have their time."

Maya joked that the pair have "the whole world to experience now" as the emotional islanders said their goodbyes.
