John Barrowmanhas made history on CelebritySAS: Who Dares Winsas he quit the show 30 minutes into the first day.

While filming in New Zealand for a series of the show that will air next year, the formerDancing on Icejudge had started to take part, a source told The Sun, before saying he wanted to leave.

“John’s exit from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will go down in the show’s history as the fastest ever.

“They’d all got kitted up in their uniforms and had started filming in New Zealand when he chose to walk out.

“It is an incredibly mentally and physically challenging television show and the task they were facing was difficult.”

They continued: “Most of the stars were shocked when after 30 minutes John said he did not want to take part any longer.

The source continued that the producers weren't "best impressed" that one of their participants had made the decision to walk away.

The 56 year old is then believed to have flown back to the UK pretty soon after getting back to the hotel.

OK! has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

He was set to star in the reality challenge series alongside famous faces like Love Island stars Ovie Soko and Georgia Harrison.

This will mark John’s first major TV appearance since he was dropped by ITV in 2021.

The actor was dismissed due to sexual misconduct allegations that were made against him.

He was accused of exposing himself to cast and crew on the sets of Doctor Who and Torchwood.

Hedid apologisefor his “tomfoolery” but insisted it was “in good humour” and in an effort to “entertain colleagues”.

He said: “With the benefit of hindsight, I understand that upset may have been caused by my exuberant behaviour and I have apologised for this previously.

"Since my apology in November 2008, my understanding and behaviour have also changed."

He was thenaxed from Dancing on Icewith a spokesperson from the broadcaster saying: "We thank John for two brilliant years on the Dancing on Ice panel and are pleased to be working with him again as host of the forthcoming All Star Musicals specials."

After his sacking, hethanked fansfor their support in an Instagram video.

"Hi everybody it's John here and I just want to say thank you very much to all of my fan family and everybody who has reached out with the countless messages of support over the last few weeks.

"It has meant such a great deal to me and has really touched me to know that people are supporting me and standing by me and sending their love and all their appreciation and kind words.

"Hopefully, we will all be back together soon, and I look forward to it. Much love and thank you."
