Strictly Come Dancing's Helen Skelton suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction on Sunday night (December 11), where she gave it her all in order to win a place in the grand finale next weekend.

While performing her second dance of the night – which was an Argentine Tango – Helen's dress split mid dance.

She and dance partner Gorka Marquez danced the sultry routine to Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurythmics.

The Argentine Tango was their couple's choice, and oh boy did they sizzle and bring the sultry vibes.

Wearing an incredible dress, Helen looked really incredible as she stomped around the dancefloor with Gorka.

But it was when her heel got caught in her blue sequin dress that chaos could have almost ensued.

Ever the professionals, the couple continued their dance and Tess Daly even praised her and said: "Is your dress ok? I know it got caught a little bit in your heel."

Viewers watching on would have seen that when the dance came to a close, the sultry dress Helen donned had frayed as she ripped through the edge completely with her heel.

Laughing it off, it was then time for the judges' feedback.

Craig said that he wanted more from the dance, but did really enjoy it.

Motsi thought it was intense and Shirley loved the footwork, and Anton really enjoyed it.

The couple got a total of 37 out of 40 from the judges.

Helen's wardrobe malfunction was one of two occurrences on Sunday night for the semi-final.

Before Helen's dress mishap happened, Will Mellor suffered a blunder with his tight trousers.

Speaking to Tess after he and Nancy Xu performed a Paso Doble, Will stood beside his pro dance partner when he said: "My button burst, I think."

Taking a peek down his pants, Tess sounded shocked as she said: "Did it?"

"Bit tight these pants," Will confessed, which then left Tess feeling flustered.

"Oh gosh, they are quite tight," she said in a mumbled voice, before adding: "Wardrobe malfunction."

With only five couples left, the remaining the heat was well and truly on before the grand finale takes place on December 17.

The final of Strictly Come Dancing 2022 will air next weekend (December 17), with the Strictly Christmas Special airing on December 25.
