The Handmaid’s Tale season five has been a difficult time for Serena Joy (played by Yvonne Strahovski) after the murder of her husband Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes). Their relationship was complicated, to say the least, but the world has suddenly grown far more difficult for her as a Gilead woman. So what is there to know about the star’s love life away from the Hulu and Channel 4 dystopian drama?

Who is The Handmaid’s Tale star Yvonne Strahovski married to?

The Handmaid’s Tale actress Yvonne Strahovski is married to actor and producer Tim Loden.

They first met in 2010 when she was starring in the TV series Chuck for five years, with Loden making a minor appearance.

Strahovski and Loden dated for several years before tying the knot in 2017 at a ceremony in Paso Robles, California.

The 40-year-old told the Daily Mail that their wedding took place during a “heatwave”.

Loden has numerous credits as an actor, producer and writer, according to his IMDb page.

He is probably best known for producing the short film Extinction, as well as featuring in the movie Making Monsters.

It was in 2019 that he won the Best Actor Feature at the Nightmares Film Festival for his role in the project.

He has also worked on Bloodlines, Scary Tales, No Ordinary Family and Vantastic, to list a few.

In addition, in 2017, he was awarded Best Picture at the Canadian Diversity Film Festival for his part in Extinction.

The couple welcomed their first child one year after getting married, a son called William.

Strahovski shared an adorable post on Instagram with a picture of her cradling her newborn.

She wrote: “My heart has melted into a billion pieces a thousand times already We have been blessed with the greatest joy of our lives, our baby boy.

“Welcome to the world Peanut, your parents love you beyond measure and you are already my little dream boat. My heart has been stolen!”
