50 Cent reaches settlement with The Shade Room

50 Cent reaches settlement with The Shade Room over claims he had penis enlargement surgery: Rapper still suing glam plastic surgeon who took a picture with him to ‘imply’ he had the operation

  • The In Da Club star filed against the blog and  Perfection Plastic Surgery in Miami last year
  • He was initially demanding ‘millions’ from the site in compensation after they shared the fake story to 27.7million
  • 50 Cent is still suing Angela Kogan, the owner of the plastic surgery business, despite the settlement

50 Cent has settled his lawsuit with The Shade Room a year after he sued them for saying that he got penis enhancement surgery.

The Queens rapper filed against the blog side and the owner of Miami-based Perfection Plastic Surgery, Angela Kogan, last year.

He claimed that she took a photo with him to suggest that he had penile enhancement surgery – which was then shared widely by The Shade Room.

But the star has now agreed to settle against the blog which shared the fake story with 27.7million followers.

In his initial filings he said he wanted an apology and money from the website ‘for exacerbating the penile implant saga.’

It is unclear how much the In Da Club star will receive from The Shade Room in the settlement, but initially he was asking for ‘millions’.

Currently there has been no apology from the website to the star, though it may not be part of the settlement.

DailyMail.com reached out to representatives for 50 Cent for comment.

He is still suing glamorous Kogan for taking the photo and suggesting he had the surgery and wants her banned from using the image ever again.

Kogan is blaming the blog for sharing the story, and her lawyer claims that 50 Cent was a client who agreed to post for the photo ‘in exchange for her service’.

50 Cent denies ever having the penile enlargement surgery and says that he was subject to ‘ridicule’.

The lawsuit states that it caused ‘substantial damage to his professional and personal reputation, and violated his right to control his name and image.’

But attorneys for Kogan say that 50 Cent would have known it wasn’t a picture with a fan, and denies claiming that he had the procedure.

Documents say: ‘It is clear from the Photo itself that the taking thereof was not a random happenstance or unsolicited occasion.

‘The content of the Photo shows 50 Cent in Kogan’s’ office, next to Kogan in her role as a businesswoman/aesthetician (i.e. in professional attire).

‘Thus, it is disingenuous to claim or allege that 50 Cent – who wishes for the Court to believe randomly stumbled into a medspa without purpose or specific intent – agreed to take the Photo under the ‘sole impression that Kogan was a fan seeking the photograph for her private and personal enjoyment.

‘The Photo is not representative of 50 Cent running into a random fan in the middle of the street; rather, it specifically highlights 50 Cent in a specific situation, for a specific purpose, in exchange of a specific transaction.’

His lawyer previously said: ‘Jackson never had such a sexual enhancement procedure, he has never received plastic surgery from defendants, and he never consented to the commercialization and publication of the Photo.’
