Horror moment raging passenger tries to SMASH plane window mid-air during row with flight attendants | The Sun

HORRIFYING footage captures the moment a passenger tries to SMASH an aeroplane window in midair with his feet.

The furious man sparked chaos onboard the flight to Dubai as he started kicking the aircraft's windows while cabin crew tried desperately to calm him down.



In terrifying scenes, the man starts punching and kicking seats before fighting the flight attendants after a row broke out on board the Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-283 from Peshawar last Wednesday.

The passenger reportedly started acting erratically shortly after takeoff and demanded to be taken back to Pakistan, according to sources quoted in the Pakistani publication Dawn.

He started praying loudly in the middle of the aisle while the seatbelt light was still on, prompting cabin crew to return him to his seat.

In both videos filmed inside the Airbus A320, the man was barefoot.

He was wearing a vest underneath his shirt which he took off later during the flight along with his skullcap.

As he became more and more aggressive, the captain contacted air traffic control in Dubai to ask for security to meet them when they landed and escort the man away.

He then began punching and kicking the seats, damaging a window shutter with his feet and sparking panic among the flight's other 160 passengers.

Cabin crew were forced to physically restrain him after he turned violent.

Abdullah Khan, a spokesman for PIA, told The National: "He seemed pretty OK when he went through the check-in counters and immigration.

"He had a return ticket and was going to Dubai on a visit visa.

"It was when the plane took off that he started giving azaans [call to prayer] very loudly and the crew asked him not to.

"He became agitated and then got into the aisle and lay down on his chest and said he was offering prayers. He was asked to sit down but then he kicked the window of the plane.

"It became very clear he was not in his right mind. And because he was in such a state and becoming violent, as per the rules, he was tied to his seat."

Security detail detained the passenger upon arrival in Dubai on September 14.

The man was arrested when the plane arrived in Dubai and was deported back to the Pakistani capital Islamabad.

He was travelling from his home in the city of Mardan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to Dubai to see his father who works in the United Arab Emirates.

His father accompanied him back to Pakistan when he was deported.

Airport security in Peshawar registered a reported an handed him over to his family.

"A doctor checked him and diagnosed him as unstable," Mr Khan added.

He added that the passenger hadn't damaged the window of the plane.

"The crew made sure there were no passengers seated near him," Mr Khan said.

He has been blacklisted following his arrest.
