Moment 'hippy crack driver' gets behind wheel before 'inhaling gas'

Moment ‘hippy crack driver’ who ‘crashed into bollard’ gets behind the wheel of dark blue Mercedes before ‘inhaling laughing gas’

  • Nitrous Oxide is known as ‘hippy crack’ and is usually inhaled using balloons
  • The driver drove away with a balloon close to his face right after hitting bollard

Shocking footage shows a driver apparently getting behind the wheel of a car while inhaling laughing gas, right after he had already run over a metal bollard.

Two men were spotted by the dark blue Mercedes inspecting the damage last Friday, June 30, in Tower Hamlets.

One dressed in a black hoodie and jogging bottoms can be seen clutching a bright pink balloon.

Nitrous Oxide, which is now a Class C drug, is usually taken by filling up balloons and inhaling the gas.

The driver can be seen holding the balloon close to his mouth as the other man in a grey T-shirt and shorts gets into the £50,000 motor.

The occupants of the car appear to have ‘hippy crack’ balloons which they then appear to suck on as they are driving away from the scene

The driver then reversed backwards off the bollard. His friend then tapped the damaged front passenger side wing of the 18-plate car before jumping in.

The Merc carried on down the road in east London on Friday but both men were holding pink balloons to their mouths as they drove off.

A shocked onlooker filmed the worrying scenes in broad daylight.

Ben Wakefield said: ‘Couple of little taps will fix the bumper nicely.’ Chris Docherty added: ‘A couple of slaps, that should do it, jobs a good’un.’

James Samuel said: ‘The fact he carries on with the balloons after crashing is mental.’

Henry Kay added: ‘Surprised they can afford those balloons. The cost has skyrocketed. That’s inflation for you.’

Ahsen Reza joked: ‘Have to give credit to the build quality there. Bollard is lying flat but the bumper and headlights are still intact.’

Another joked: ‘Jumping to conclusions. Could be two clowns late for the kids’ birthday party.’
