Wheel Of Fortune's Vanna White wants at least HALF Pat Sajak's salary

Wheel Of Fortune’s Vanna White won’t continue on show unless she gets HALF of Pat Sajak’s salary as it is revealed she hasn’t had raise in 18 YEARS… while Ryan Seacrest is announced as new host

Wheel Of Fortune staple Vanna White won’t continue her co-hosting gig on the game show unless she is paid half as much as longtime host Pat Sajak, as it is revealed that she hasn’t received a pay increase in 18 years

The 66-year-old television icon needs her pay disparity addressed to continue on with the program, which has just announced that Ryan Seacrest will be taking over for Sajak, 76, who is retiring.

Sources close to White have told TMZ that she is co-host of the program alongside Sajak and needs to be compensated in a way to reflect that. The duo have worked together since 1982.

Insiders for the publication indicate that they are introduced on the show; ‘Here are the stars of our show, Pat Sajak and Vanna White,’ but are not paid close to equally.

As it has been reported that Sajak earns $15million for just working 48 days a year,  TMZ’s sources confirmed that White makes $3million a year.

Taking a stand: Wheel Of Fortune staple Vanna White won’t continue her co-hosting gig on the game show unless she is paid half as much as longtime host Pat Sajak as it is revealed that she hasn’t received a pay increase in 18 years according to TMZ; the co-hosts are seen November 2017

Shaking it up: It was just announced days ago that Ryan Seacrest (pictured in April) will be taking over for Sajak, 76, who is retiring,

Perhaps most shockingly, the insiders confirm that she has made that same amount for the last 18 years, meaning she has not received a pay increase for nearly two decades.

The publication reports that White’s lawyer Bryan Freedman is now demanding that White make half of what Sajak makes as they are currently in contract negotiations.

It certainly seems like the new host Seacrest, 48 – who is taking over in 2024 – is all for White’s return to the classic game show.

A source close to Ryan recently told DailyMail.com: ‘He would love to continue to work on the show with Vanna if she still wants to do it after her contract is up, he’d really love for her to stay.’

White was one of the three substitutes for former Wheel Of Fortune hostess Susan Stafford who left in October 1982 and became the regular hostess just two months later in December of that year.

Wheel Of Fortune has continuously aired since January 1975 – Sajak’s predecessor Chuck Woolery served as host upon its inception until 1981.

According to IMDb, Sajak has hosted 7,748 episodes of the nighttime edition of the series to date from 1983–2023.

‘Well, the time has come,’ the popular host said in a tweet earlier this month. ‘I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last.

Hmm: As it has been reported that Sajak earns $15million for just working 48 days a year, TMZ’s sources confirmed that White makes $3million a year. The duo have worked together since 1982.

‘It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)’

A tweet from the long-running game show read: ‘Thank you to the best host in the biz. Wheel of Fortune would not be what it is today without you, Pat. Looking forward to Season 41 being better than ever!’

Meanwhile Seacrest confirmed the news that he will be taking over for Sajak in a statement on social media on Tuesday.

He will begin his reign in 2024, after Sajak’s 41st season, a source close to the show told DailyMail.com exclusively: ‘Ryan is an institution. For him to join Wheel, is the greatest scenario possible.

‘He doesn’t have baggage, drama, or anything off-putting in his career. He will be able to do the job well, he has natural charisma, and people like him and feel safe around him. There should be no surprise if he does the show for 40 years himself.

‘The producers were weighing options and were thinking how they were going to do things and move forward from Pat, but when Ryan was interested, it just became a no-brainer, and any other ideas were thrown out the window. Ryan is the right fit.’
