Coleen Nolan breaks down in tears as she discusses sister Lindas brain cancer diagnosis

Coleen Nolan broke down in tears as she discussed her sister Linda's brain cancer diagnosis on Monday's Loose Women.

Earlier on Monday, Linda Nolan revealed that her cancer has spread to her brain in a devastating health update on Good Morning Britain.

Talking about the heartbreaking news on Loose Women, Coleen, 58, was overcome with emotion as she praised her sister's "strength".

She said: "Linda has had cancer since 2005, it's her strength and will to live. She is just so strong, all the time and so it makes the rest of us strong.

"It was a big shock on Monday when she told us that was the diagnosis, she's had incurable cancer for quite a while but it's all been treatable.

And then every three months, we have to wait for these results and up to this point they've all been quite positive, still the same, hasn't moved, it's not spread.

Then her legs started playing up, to the point she was falling constantly. Like she fell four times in a week, bruised all her face, her legs just couldn't carry her and she thought: 'I need to check this out.'

"In my head, I'm thinking: 'Oh please God, don't let it of gone to her bones or spine. Let it be the medication, nerve damage, anything but more cancer' and then very sadly she told us on Monday that it had gone to the brain."

Coleen added that Linda is staying positive and will be taking a new drug, which has only been out a year and has done great things with helping brain cancer, she said: "Hopefully it will give her as long as she can possibly have."

Talking about Linda's strength, she continued: "Well, it rubs off on you, you hear her talk, she's positive about it so it makes you positive and stronger.

"It's so weird, this time, even since Monday,I haven't cried because I felt really numb. I just thought, I'm so sick of it, it just attacks my family all the time.

"I know a lot of people go through it but selfishly, I am scared of crying because I don't think I'll stop…"

Coleen was then overcome with emotion as she broke down in tears, saying: "So, I'm going to cry now, so can you move on."

To which Ruth Langsford insisted: "We'll move on, you take a moment, my darling. We are going to move on" as a crying Coleen was comforted by her co-stars.
