Coronation Street star Liam McCheyne has delighted fans by confirming that Dylan Wilson will be back on the Cobbles in the near future.

The actor, who hasn’t been seen on screen since February, took to Instagram to share a picture from his dressing room.

‘Working Wednesdays on the street. It’s so good to be back,’ he wrote.

Fans of the young actor were thrilled to hear that he was back, with one saying, ‘Good to see You back Liam! Looking forward to seeing You back on the screen!’

‘Glad to see you back Liam. Looking cool there,’ another said.

‘Great to see you’re back!’ A third added.

Liam first took on the role of Dylan Wilson back in 2011, alongside twin brother Connor.

Dylan left Coronation Street with mum Violet Wilson in 2012, but returned to visit dad Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) in 2020.

Their relationship became strained, however, when Dylan was subsequently targeted by homophobic bullies because of his dad’s sexuality.

In 2022, Liam confirmed that he would be returning once more in an Instagram post, where he shared a picture of his Corrie scripts.

Following his return, he found himself on the receiving end of some harsh words from Sean’s boyfriend Frank, who was quickly given his marching orders not long after the confrontation.

Things didn’t get much better with Sean’s next boyfriend, when Todd and Eileen Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce and Sue Cleaver) accused him of murdering his wife.

While the circumstances surrounding Dylan’s return to screens are as yet unknown, we’re sure that there will be plenty of drama to be had.
