Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure will see the two close friends and well-known presenters immerse themselves in the rural landscape of Britain’s first National Trail.
Across the four episodes, Channel 5 fans will be able to watch the duo tackle the trial as they’ll meet the people who live and work there along the way.
Seeking out hidden gems and secrets of the area, Dan and Helen will encounter the various different communities, industries and businesses as they journey through Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders.
Viewers will watch the two presenters listen to personal stories from locals who reflect on the past and contemporary life of Britain, however, the journey won’t be plain sailing as they both will go through challenging physical adventure activities.
In each episode, Dan and Helen will embark on a different part of their journey by using various modes of transport while taking part in fun activities.
Speaking about the upcoming series, Dan confessed he’s looking forward to his new adventure alongside Helen.
He commented: “I can’t wait to get out there and explore the Pennines.
“It will be nice to escape the studio for a while and join a good friend to discover a beautiful slice of the UK and meet some amazing people along the way.
“They promised me there would be food to taste too!”

He said: “We’re so glad to be able to bring Dan and Helen together for this series.
“Their friendship, talent and sense of adventure will bring a unique perspective as they take our audience on an immersive journey through the diverse landscapes and towns of the Pennine Way.”
It looks as though Dan could be a good motivator for Helen when they tackle their long trial as he confessed to sharing some tips with her in the past.
When she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing last year, Dan offered some guidance after his own stint on the BBC show.
