Emmerdale Amelia star Daisy Campbell gushes over ‘amazing second mum’ co-star

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has praised her "second mum" co-star as she takes on yet another gripping storyline.

The 19-year-old actress has played Amelia Spencer in the ITV soap since 2011.

Over the past 12 years, the young star has been at the centre of some dramatic plots from getting pregnant and giving birth aged 15 to finding out she's not Dan Spencer's (Liam Fox) biological daughter.

Fans of the serial drama are aware that Amelia has been followed by creepy newcomer Lloyd (Matt Sutton) on social media.

They met in person in recent scenes and Amelia quickly learned Lloyd's account name, leaving her horrified as she had been under the impression that she was talking to a woman.

Lloyd quickly fled the village after Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) intervened.

Opening up about filming with her co-star, Daisy told Daily Star and other press: "I love Lisa Riley.

"I feel like Lisa is my second mum. We all call her Nana at work but she's amazing and always gives me tips.

"I've learnt a lot from working with her the past few months."

The matter isn’t going to come to an end anytime soon as an angry Dan spots Lloyd and Amelia talking and hugging in the village.

Watched on by Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Dan heads over for a confrontation and is wound up by Lloyd, who argues he still can’t do anything to stop what he’s doing.

The argument will eventually lead to Dan punching Lloyd.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that Dan gets charged with GBH and drunkly blames it on Amelia's social media activity.

Speaking about the upcoming storyline, Daisy explained: "It actually felt like my own dad was shouting at me.

"Dan has never flipped out at Amelia, it's usually her that flips out, but in this situation Dan actually flips out at Amelia and it felt awful.

"I saw a different side to the character of Dan aswell but that needed to happen to bring up everything."

Speaking about Amelia's future, the actress added: "I think she will come to terms with understanding it and accepting it but I think the whole thing will always stay in her head and be sat on her shoulders.

"I think she will come to terms will what Dan says and she will forgive him."

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
