Hollyoaks star Niamh Blackshaw exposes fake account after big clue gave it away

Hollyoaks star Niamh Blackshaw has made an important announcement to her Instagram followers after a fake account was brought to her attention.

The actress, who played Juliet Nightingale for almost five years, shared a screenshot of a Facebook account pretending to be her.

‘I do not have Facebook! This is not my account,’ she told followers, underneath an animation of a siren, before explaining how they would be able to tell that it wasn’t really her.

‘Please do not follow – should know this is fake as I definitely do not have that many friends lol,’ she joked.

At the bottom of the post, she thanked the person who had sent her the screenshot, adding an emoji of two hands making a love heart.

Niamh joined Hollyoaks in 2018 and captured viewers hearts with her portrayal of Juliet and relationship with Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell).

Earlier this year, Juliet sadly passed away in emotional scenes after suffering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

She later made a surprise return during her funeral episode, when Peri revealed that Juliet had recorded video messages for each of her family and friends.

The videos contained instructions on how each person should tackle life going forward, which she called Juliet’s Commandments.

Outside of the show, Niamh announced earlier this year that she is dating former Hollyoaks co-star Angus Castle Doughty, who played incel Eric.

The pair recently enjoyed a relaxing getaway together, sharing the pictures to Instagram for their followers to enjoy.
