Loose Women’s Kaye Adams dismisses ‘funny’ rumours about panel feuding

Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams has rubbished rumours that stars of the show don’t get along.

“I do get fed up that almost always we will be asked whether we b***h about each other,” she said.

“When we are asked about feuds, we think it is funny. It is certainly not a viper’s nest,” she intimated.

“The one thing that I can guarantee when I go to the Loose Women, regardless of the line-up of women, regardless of the topics, at some point in that day, I will have a real belly laugh.

“And I don’t know how many other people can say that about their working life…hand on heart at some point in the day, we will be creasing ourselves, which is a lovely thing,” she told the Mirror.

Kaye joined the show in 1999 before leaving in 2006. The following year she became a regular panellist on The Wright Stuff on Channel 5 where she remained until 2012.

However, she returned to Loose Women 2013 and has been a staple ever since.

Her revelation comes after Janet Street-Porter recently revealed that fellow panellist Denise Welch “didn’t speak” to her for years.

The revelation came during a discussion on whether or not you should stay in touch with an ex-colleague.

The 76-year-old broadcaster used the chat to reference a falling out with former Coronation Street star Denise, 64. “Actually, Denise is talking to me, she never used to,” she confessed.

Denise replied: “I agree with you but there’s a reason for that. There have been big changes.”

Fellow panellists Kaye and Brenda Edwards looked horrified as the pair made their revelation.

Neither went into details about the reason that they fell out, however Denise did confirm to Janet they are actually friends now.

This led Janet to insist: “You are my friend! Don’t start being neurotic, Denise. Don’t mess it up!”

The interaction led Brenda to say that she sees all of her Loose Women panellists as friends and has got all of their “phone numbers and talks to each one individually”. 

Loose Women is on ITV Monday to Friday at 12.30pm.
