Ruth Langsford shuts down feud rumours with Loose Women co-star

Ruth Langsford jokes about her 'feud' with Coleen

Loose Women host Ruth Langsford was discussing therapy on the latest instalment of the programme, with Coleen Nolan insisting speaking to a trained professional about issues “works”.

“That’s why I think therapy works,” Coleen explained. “You know when people go, ‘I could not sit there with a stranger and tell them.’

“It actually works better,” Coleen stressed before Ruth stepped in to voice her opinion.

“You are like a therapist because loads of people tell you their problems,” Ruth told Coleen.

“People say hello then two hours later they have told me their whole life [story] and I absolutely love it,” Coleen exclaimed.

“I love it and I love talking, I’m like Gloria as it must be the Irish thing.”

Coleen turned to Ruth and said she was her “confidante” which the audience found touching and sighed at.

Setting the record straight about her relationship with Coleen, Ruth joked: “Don’t believe the magazine covers!”

Ahead of the episode airing, Ruth teased Coleen about a comment she made to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson.

Before Ruth teased what was coming up on Loose Women to This Morning viewers, Coleen said she’d visited a Blackpool ice cream shop as a child which was featured on the magazine show.

“It’s tiny! It’s exactly the same as it was in the sixties,” Coleen said of the ice cream parlour.

Ruth took a playful dig at Coleen, saying: “It was 102 years ago yeah.”

Coleen looked unimpressed as Josie winced, but she and Ruth soon started laughing at the cheeky comment.

The pair seemed in good spirits throughout Tuesday’s instalment of Loose Women.

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
