Sarah Ferguson has caused tension’ between Prince Harry and Eugenie

Royal Expert on Sarah Ferguson comments about Harry and Meghan

It’s no secret that royal cousins Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie have a tight bond as fans witnessed in one of the episodes of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary. However, it’s been reported Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson may have caused some awkwardness between them.

Speaking about Harry’s upcoming trip to the UK for his dad’s coronation, Dan Wootton discussed the anticipated visit on his GB News show with royal expert Charlotte Griffiths.

Addressing his guest, he quickly highlighted what she’d written in her recent piece for the Daily Mail where she reported Harry has a diminishing close circle in the UK.

He commented: “I couldn’t believe this, Harry now just has six friends in the United Kingdom.

“But, what’s going on with Harry and Eugenie? Because I thought she was his only ally left in the Royal Family and you’re suggesting that even that relationship is now strained.”

Explaining Princess Eugenie has been loyal to her cousin, Charlotte told Dan there’s somebody who comes above him in terms of importance, which is her mother Sarah Ferguson.

She replied: “Those girls, her and her sister, adore their mother.

“Fergie has been doing a round of interviews to promote her new book recently. She lightly touched on the subject of Meghan, very carefully.

“She said nothing that was controversial. What I’m hearing is, of course, Meghan and Harry have taken great offence, it’s all very awkward.

“So, that has caused tensions with Eugenie is what I’m hearing.”

With Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry both expected to attend the coronation celebrations over the May weekend, Charlotte confessed their interactions with one another may now be different.

She continued: “I’m sure they’ll put on a brave face, but he has lost the person who was probably most likely to give him a big hug on the day.

“Probably might be a sort of nod and smile rather than a big hug.”

Recently, Sarah spoke to The Independent where some of the comments she made could’ve been seen as a subtle dig at her nephew and his wife.

The 63-year-old said: “Well, you can’t have it both ways.

“You can’t sit on the fence and keep one foot in and one foot out. You’re either in or out.

“But then don’t cry about not being invited to weddings. You chose to leave, now go and live it – and be it.”

Although it’s believed Sarah’s two daughters will be attending the coronation event, the author confessed she’ll be missing the occasion when appearing on Loose Women.

Dan Wootton Tonight continues on GB News Monday-Thursday at 9pm.
