Who is Carol Vorderman?
Carol is a Welsh TV personality who is most famous for hosting game show Countdown.
She was born on Christmas Eve in 1960, in Bedfordshire, but moved to Prestatyn in North Wales after her parents split.
The talented star studied engineering at the University of Cambridge, before working as a junior civil engineer at Dinorwig Power Station in Wales.
Not content with conquering the TV world, Carol has also taken to the skies, becoming a fully fledged member of the Air Cadets.
Carol is heralded as one of the sexiest women in Britain after she started showing off her killer figure in clingy bandage dresses.
Carol is also famous for hosting the Pride of Britain Awards since it first started in 1999.

When was Carol Vorderman on Countdown?
Carol first joined Countdown in 1982 when she was in her twenties.
She co-hosted the show until 2008.
She got the gig after her mum arranged for the then 21-year-old to have an audition for the show after seeing a newspaper ad looking for women with good numerical skills.
Despite her young age Carol bagged the job and appeared on Countdown with Richard Whiteley from 1982 until his death in June 2005.
She then carried on alongside Des Lynam then Des O'Connor until 2008.
She was replaced by Rachel Riley who has equally caused quite a stir in the role.
Carol's 26 years on the show led her to become one of the highest paid women in Britain.
What other TV shows has Carol Vorderman been in?
After landing her gig on Countdown Carol has gone on to star in many TV shows such as Loose Women from 2011 until 2014, Have I Got News for You, The Sunday Night Project and Lorraine.
She took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2016 and she will be appearing in the All Stars version which will air in 2023.

She hit the ground running after arriving in the jungle, excelling in the first eating Bushtucker Trial alongside Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt.
Carol showed her cheeky side, too, striking up a flirtatious rapport with comedian Joel Dommett and moaning with pleasure during a group massage session around the campfire.
Carol became the fifth camp mate to leave the jungle, after spending nineteen days in the jungle.
