UK weather: Met Office reveals exact date thunderstorms will hit Brits – and it's going to get even worse days later | The Sun
STORM clouds are gathering over the UK as the country gears up for yet more wet weather over the coming days.
Millions of Brits woke up to a muggy 15C this morning as overnight downpours ushered in mild temperatures.
Western and Southern coastal areas and the North of England will have soggy starts with rain expected to linger in these places throughout the day.
Patchy showers will remain across the country but there will be sunny spells for many as the wet weather begins to push North, the Met Office said.
In its wake will be high temperatures, with Norwich expected to hit a sizzling 24C this afternoon.
And there will be highs of 23C in Hull, 23C in Birmingham, 21C in London, 21C in Newcastle, and 20C in Manchester.

Through Thursday evening and overnight many areas will become drier but low cloud may bring the odd shower in coastal areas.
Friday will be a brighter and drier day but patchy rain will persist in the South West and North East areas of England.
Highs of 24C in Norwich, 23C in Hull and 22C in Birmingham are expected.
But this drier weather will not hang around as Saturday is set to be a washout with "frequent showers" forecast across the country.

The Met Office warned "no one [will be] immune" to this wet weather which they said could turn heavy.
The forecasters added: "Bands of showers will move in on Saturday.
"And some of these showers could turn heavy with the risk of thunder.
"The low pressure system then tracks across Scotland."
Saturday will see highs of 23C in London, 21C in Leeds and 19C in Aberystwyth.
Through Sunday morning the winds will slowly ease from the West but it should remain dry for most.
But more unsettled weather is set to greet Brits through Sunday evening and overnight into Monday as rain will push in from the Atlantic.
This will bring showers – some heavy – to most of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Western, Northern and Eastern England on Monday morning.
