NETFLIX has bagged a huge film franchise – and it's hitting screens next month.

The streaming service has a large array of films on its roster already.


But in August, the first five films in the Fast and the Furious franchise are coming to Netflix.

The first film was released in 2001 starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Michelle Rodriguez.

Since then, another nine films have been released, with Fast X dropping in cinemas earlier this year.

Over the years, stars including Jason Statham and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson have joined the franchise.

Tragically, Paul Walker died in a car accident in November 2013 aged just 40, leaving his co-stars devastated.

The first five films will be available to stream on Netflix from August 1.

They will be joined by other top films including Julia Roberts' Eat Pray Love, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Lost in Translation and Bee Movie.

Netflix fans also have the excitement of the second season of Heartstopper to look forward to.

It will arrive on August 2, while at the end of the month, there will be the premiere of Netflix's live-action One Piece.
