Rayne spikes Prince in Hollyoaks revenge act – ahead of very dark storyline

Rayne Royce (Jemma Donovan) took shocking action in Hollyoaks in a bid to get Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dywer) out of her life, spiking his drink ahead of a dark storyline development.

Prince, as viewers know, has joined forces with Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) to expose Rayne, knowing full well that she cannot be trusted after she was caught out in a lie about cancer.

Peri has been desperate to make Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) see Rayne’s true nature, and she made a shock discovery earlier this week, working out that a T-shirt Rayne claimed to belong to her dead boyfriend Brent’s didn’t actually go on sale until after his death.

This discovery left Prince determined to help her in her mission to expose Rayne, knowing Romeo could be in danger from the manipulative social media sensation.

Rayne, however, managed to talk her way out of this one, pulling the wool over Romeo’s eyes once more with a convincing cover story, but Prince did some more snooping and found evidence to prove Rayne had purchased the T-shirt last week, meaning that it absolutely did not belong to Brent after all.

Once quizzed about this, Rayne spouting another tale to cover her tracks.

Prince sympathised, appearing to understand, but subsequent scenes confirmed that he didn’t actually buy her story, as he relayed his findings to an intrigued Peri.

Determined to get their hands on her phone once more, Prince and Peri invited Rayne to drinks at The Love Boat, believing they’d successfully convinced the influencer that they would drop their investigation into her.

Rayne, however, spotted an opportunity to get Prince out of the picture, spiking his drink, leaving the DJ feeling woozy and disoriented, before suggesting that she take him somewhere a bit more quiet, leading him away from his friends.

The following episode, which airs Thursday (July 27), will see Rayne claim that Prince made a move on her, leaving the household horrified.

Prince is quick to defend himself, making it quite clear that he simply wouldn’t do such a thing but, due to the spiking incident, he’s unable to recall what happened on the night in question.

Hollyoaks continues Thursday July 26 at 7pm on E4 or stream the next episode from midnight on All4.
