A SCOTS teen was left traumatised after an "exploding" aerosol can left him with severe burns.
Aiden McGee, 14, was rushed to hospital on June 19 after a freak accident while playing football with his pals.
The group went over to examine a small fire in Linnvale, Clydebank when an aerosol can suddenly burst.
The teen was left with blistering on his face, burnt eyelids, singed hair and burns on his nose as a result of the incident. Aiden's eyebrows were also burnt off.
The youngster's dad, Will, said he felt "as if his world was collapsing" when he learnt about the incident.
He told Glasgow Live: "It had burnt all his face and his hands. He had a bottle of Coke on him, he didn't know what to do, so he poured it all over himself to cool down.
"He ran to one of his classmate's granny's house and chapped on her door and she threw him in a cold shower. We were then notified and my partner came back and said she needed to go get Aiden.
"An ambulance came and got him. They put him on morphine and took him to hospital, where he was kept for a good few hours."
The dad added: "When my partner told me what happened I had a panic attack.
"I didn't know what to do. I felt as if the world was collapsing, I couldn't believe what was happening to my son.

"It's hard to explain how I felt. All I could think about was whether his eyes were injured or if he lost any fingers."
Aiden faces a long road to recovery due to the severity of his injuries.
His family are supporting him as he struggles to cope with the mental trauma from the accident.
Will added: "He has been suffering from bad nightmares and has told me he never wants to go camping or near any fire again. He is not allowed out because it could cause infection.
"He has been having wee panic attacks and isn't even wanting to go to the front door.
"He will need to keep putting cream on for the next two years and wear a hat. Aiden is gutted that he won't be able to go out and enjoy the summer holidays with his pals."
Aiden's family have launched a GoFundMe page to help "put a smile" on his son's face following the incident.
It read: "He has always wanted to go away for Christmas to a country with a waterpark and theme park so we thought we would ask for some help to try and raise enough so we could go away as a family to make our son smile again.
"He has been through a lot and anything we can raise would be great and help towards making this happen for him.
