Millie Bobby Brown: Stranger Things star reveals HUGE move after season 3 ‘Special to me’
Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, 15, announced her new collaboration with sneaker brand Converse. The season three favourite shared the exciting news with her 21 million Instagram followers by uploading a clip where she showed off the upcoming styles. “Converse Millie By You,” she wrote in the caption. “Launching July 11.” Converse also broke the news to their own nine million followers, sharing quotes from Millie about the collection.
“One of the most exciting parts of designing this is that I get to do it with my fans,” she said.
“To choose the colours and material and print for those shoes was really specific and special to me.”
The range represents the young actress’ love of whales and the ocean.
Celebrities rushed to the comments section to share their support for the Stranger Things star’s new venture, including Rumer Willis, 30, who gushed: “Definitely need some of these.”
The styles feature pastel colours including plenty of pale blues and yellows.
One boasts a pattern of killer whales against a blush background, while another has a small colourful whale print.
A third design sees the low-rise Converse sneakers decorated with flowing blues, evoking a water-like quality.
Another shot, which Millie shared on her Instagram story, showed her modelling the blue shoes, perched on a metal stool dressed all in white and resting a long-stemmed white rose between her cheek and her shoulder.
Pictures uploaded by Converse show Millie behind-the-scenes, surrounded by different coloured threads and swatches as she sifts through seemingly looking for inspiration.
Dressed in a grey T-shirt, paint splattered jeans and, of course, Converse, she looked hard at work getting in to the swing of life as a designer.
Millie, who has played Eleven in Stranger Things since it first started streaming in 2016, recently opened up on filming her most emotional scene in the third season.
**WARNING: Stranger Things season three spoilers**
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, revealed how she recorded the moment where she read the letter Hopper (played by David Harbour) left for Eleven.
“They had prerecorded David and they played it out loud,” she told the publication.
“I didn’t want to read that speech. I didn’t want to hear about it. I didn’t want to rehearse it.
“I just immediately wanted to put a camera on me and find the way I react and the way I reacted was pure devastation and sadness, and a distraught child that just lost her father or so she thinks.
“So, it was definitely a raw emotion,” she added. “Especially because David Harbour and I are really close.”
Stranger Things season 3 is available to stream now on Netflix.
