Strictly fans slam Ashley Roberts as she makes ‘sulkiest face ever’ after public vote lands her in THIRD dance off ahead of final

Ashley Roberts is one of the four finalists competing for the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball on Saturday night.

But viewers have slammed the Pussycat Dolls star for her reaction to making it through during Sunday night’s semi final results show.

As hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly congratulated Faye Tozer, Stacey Dooley and Joe Sugg and their partners for getting through, when the camera panned to Ashley, she had a look of thunder.

While her fellow finalists whooped and clapped, Ashley didn’t even raise a smile, as her partner Pasha Kovalev clapped wildly beside her.

Ashley was in her third dance off in a row on Sunday after the public failed to vote her through.

Once again, the star, who has faced criticism for her past dance experience, was saved by the judges, who sent Paraolympian Lauren Steadman home. 

Ouch! While the other finalists cheerfully celebrated their places in the final, Ashley didn’t even raise a smile, prompting an outpouring of hilarious memes online

‘Lol, that was the sulkiest finalist face I’ve ever seen just then from Ashley, just after they said next week it’s the viewers votes alone that count #Strictly,’ tweeted one viewer of the BBC show a the close of the semi final.

Others posted hilarious memes, comparing Ashley to Parks and Recreation character Leslie Knope’s angry face.

Viewers have been quick to label Ashley as a ‘trained dancer’ for her experience in American girl group, The Pussycat Dolls.

But the 37-year-old isn’t the only contestant with professional dance experience as according to the CV of former Steps star Faye Tozer, she is trained in a whopping 12 types of dance.

The former West End performer, 43, claims to be skilled in styles including Bollywood, Salsa, Jazz and Folk, as well as being a fully trained choreographer.

In addition to this, Faye has been in many stage shows, such as Singin’ in the Rain, Over the Rainbow and Tell Me on a Sunday.

Yet while Ashley and her partner Pasha have been in the ballroom’s dance-off for the last three weeks, Faye remains a popular contender.

The public’s reaction to the former I’m A Celeb campmate has been so scathing that host Tess Daly last week defended the Don’t Cha hitmaker.

‘I think cut her a little slack, she’s an absolute sweetheart and doesn’t deserve that,’ the presenter told Metro.co.uk.

She added: ‘I actually feel sorry for Ashley because she was in tears on Sunday night, when she was in the bottom two.’

The remaining four couples will return for the last time for the final next weekend, where it will be down to the viewers alone to decide who wins.

Each couple will perform three dances in the hope of being crowned the Strictly Come Dancing champions of 2018.

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One Saturday 15th December at 6.30pm.
