Victoria’s Secret models all wearing wrong size bra – and none of them even knew

The annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show is a fashion event like no other.

Each year men and women watch the star-studded show, with many coveting the looks that the tall, glamorous models strut down the catwalk in.

It becomes incredibly easy to assume that the Victoria Secret angels, with their glossy hair and sparkling costumes, are pretty much perfect.

But a new advert from the lingerie company has revealed that the models are all making one very simple mistake – and it’s something most of us don’t have to worry about.

It turns out the models don’t actually know what their real bra size is and have been wearing the wrong size bras for a long time.

In the advert, Aiana Townshend, a member of staff from a New York branch of the underwear retailer, helps four Victoria’s Secret models with a fitting to find their perfect bra size.

Alexina Graham, 28, Josephine Skriver, 25, Barbara Palvin, 24, and Lais Ribeiro, 27 all strip down to their underwear on camera and let the woman measure them.

At the start of the advert, each woman reveals which bra size she usually wears.

Alexina and Barbara say they are a 32B, Josephine a 32C and Lais says she doesn’t think she has ever had a professional fitting and isn’t sure.

As the video continues, Aiana quickly spots several problems with their current underwear.

She explains to Lais that the underwire in her bra should be laying flat under the breasts, to ensure comfort and support.

She then shows how Barbara’s bra is cutting in across her breasts , causing them to spill out over the top.

The model admits she thought this was a good thing because it gave her a "bigger cleavage", but she’s promptly informed that it’s bad for her, as it actually means the wire isn’t supporting her boobs.

For Josephine and Alexina, the expert points out that the back of their bras should lie straight across the skin, and not curve into a rainbow shape.

If it does curve, this means it is too big and can cause gapping on the top of the bra and spillage out of the sides.

After a proper fitting, all of the women discovered their cup size was larger than they had initially thought.

Alexina went from a 32B to a 32D, Josephine from a 32C to a 32D, Barbara from a 32B to a 32C, and Lais became a 32DD.

The women were shocked.

Aiana comments: "Everyone thinks they’re a 32a or a 36B, and people are really shocked when they’re a D-cup. But it’s not even about the letter or the number, it’s about being comfortable in your skin and being comfortable in the bras."

After this, the models try on their brand new bras and show how much better they fit.
