Coleen Nolan admits life is harder after divorcing Ray Felsome

Coleen Nolan has admitted there’s certain parts of her life that are harder now she’s divorced from second husband Ray Felsome.

The Loose Women panelist told her co-stars today that while she’s "loving life" since becoming single, there are things she still needs Ray’s help with.

"I’m not knocking my marriage with Ray, we had a great time, but the main thing I’m enjoying after the divorce is that I’m now totally independent," she told the show.

"I don’t have to ask anyone’s opinion, anyone’s permission, I can watch what I want. I went out this Christmas, I bought my new dog, I’ve got two little kittens, which of course I couldn’t have before because he was allergic.

"I’m getting some pygmy goats and a miniature donkey. Who needs a man?" she joked.

But, Coleen admitted, she does still miss Ray’s presence when certain problems crop up.

There’s obviously areas where you miss someone," she confessed.

"He was brilliant at DIY and I’m rubbish. And he was just good at sorting out when things went wrong, things broke down or he needed to speak or have a go at someone, he was brilliant.

"All that side of my life, he took care of.

"Now I’m like, what do you mean I have to phone someone? I’m so mortified."

Coleen previously broke down in tears when she revealed the true reason for her split from Ray, after 17 years together.

"[It’s] for the sake of both of our future happiness, and for our children, especially our daughter Ciara," she revealed in February 2018.

Coleen, who announced she was getting a second divorce in the Daily Mirror , also said the tragic death of her sister Bernie in 2013, and her other sister Linda being diagnosed with secondary breast cancer last year, helped make up her mind.

"When Bernie passed away and with Linda, it put things in perspective.

"All those things put things into perspective and also make you readdress if you’re happy or if your life’s happy. So, I think it’s a lot of factors, but hopefully now we can go forward, both of us and be positive and just be great parents to Ciara."

Coleen has only just returned to Loose Women after being forced off the show by vile death threats in the wake of her on-air row with Kim Woodburn.

Coleen revealed to the Mirror’s Notebook magazine that she received a slew of disgusting messages telling her to "die of cancer like your sister" after the jaw-dropping spat last October, which attracted hundreds of complaints to Ofcom.
