This Under-Eye Concealer Is So Good, It's Like I'm Wearing a Beauty Filter in Real Life
Dark under-eye circles have been my arch nemesis for as long as I can remember. Even in high school I was already on the hunt for a holy grail product that would take away the tired look I always seem to have, no matter how many hours of peaceful rest I get the night before.
My quest has led me to try a slew of products, from gold-infused eye masks to dark circle-reducing creams, with mixed results. While I swear by the CeraVe Eye Repair Cream and have seen significant improvement in my dark circles since using it, I've come to accept that I'll always need a trusted eye concealer in my makeup routine.
While I've used plenty of concealers I like, I've never found one I absolutely love. But recently, I stumbled on a TikTok video of mega-makeup influencer Mikayla Nogueira naming the Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer one of her all-time favorite products. I then happened to notice sample sizes of the concealer while browsing at Sephora the next day. It felt kismet, so I decided to give it a try.
The results left me truly shocked. The product lives up to its lofty name: just three dots under each eye, some quick blending with a beauty sponge, and my dark circles vanish. What's more, the concealer has a plumping and brightening effect, giving my eyes a more youthful and less hollowed appearance.
What really sold me was its extremely natural finish. Despite being a full coverage product, it's lightweight and doesn't appear cakey or sit in my creases, giving me the ultimate no-makeup makeup look. The real proof is in the before and after photos I snapped just minutes apart with no other products on. Scouts honor, there's no beauty filter on the after photo either (though I wouldn't blame you for thinking there was!).

I couldn't run to my laptop to order the full size fast enough. Since then, I've been using this concealer nonstop. My makeup routine has become more minimalist by the day while working from home throughout the pandemic, and this concealer is the perfect one-step routine on days I just need a quick touchup before hopping on Zoom meetings.

However, the Hourglass concealer is highly buildable and has worked equally well on the few nights out when I've worn more glam makeup and layered it with a full face of foundation. One cautionary note: a little goes a seriously long way with this product. Even if you are going for a full face of makeup, start with just a few dots first and slowly layer it on from there.
Numerous reviewers agree with me that this is a best-in-class product. One recent Nordstrom buyer called it "the best concealer I have found," adding that it's "not too light nor too heavy" and "lasts all day." While it's on the more expensive side at $36, I've found it to be worth every penny. Buy yours before TikTok sells it out.
