A New Video Offers a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Trip to Scotland
Back in May, Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped up their practice of sharing charming videos of their royal life with their followers by establishing their very own YouTube channel, and now, in their latest video, they’re giving royal watchers a peek behind-the-scenes at their recent trip to Scotland.
The video, which you can watch in full above, features four and a half minutes of up-close-and-personal footage of the Cambridges on their royal trip to Scotland last week. As part of the trip, the couple visited a variety of charitable organizations that target issues such as homelessness, mental health, education, and environmental sustainability, as well as making a stop at St. Andrews University, where they first met 20 years ago.
Included in the video is the adorable moment when one young fan asked Kate if she’s a prince at the European Marine Energy Centre, shots of the couple playing tennis with members of the Lawn Tennis Association’s youth program, meeting with NHS staffers and their families, and land yachting on West Sands Beach.
As part of the video, the couple also shared part of a speech William gave at the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland for which he was named Lord High Commissioner by the Queen earlier this year. In the address, William described some of the meaningful interactions the couple had with the public during their tour. The video also shows part of Kate’s welcome speech for a special screening of Disney’s Cruella at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for healthcare workers as part of NHS Charities Together, of which both she and William serve as royal patrons.
“These people make Scotland the vibrant, friendly, innovative, determined place Catherine and I love,” William said during his speech, adding, “To the people of Scotland, who afforded us such a warm welcome, see you soon.”
