Kim Kardashian removed fake nipples from her Met Gala dress
Kim Kardashian reveals she removed fake nipples from her ‘nude’ Met Gala dress after ‘born again’ Christian Kanye West insisted she do so
Kim Kardashian has already detailed on her show Keeping Up With The Kardashians that her husband Kanye West did not like how sexy the Thierry Mugler dress she wore to this year’s Met Gala was.
And while on the show The Real this week, the 39-year-old siren added that there was another issue with the nude dress that peeved her 42-year-old spouse.
The mother-of-four revealed he did not like the fake nipples that were attached to the dress so she removed them.
He was not OK with the initial look: Kanye West made wife Kim Kardashian change a style element on her dress for the Met Gala this year, she told The Real
Not there: The Thierry Mugler nude dress was supposed to have nipples on front for the naked wet look, but they were taken off
‘Well the dress initially since I was wet coming out of the water, there were nipples attached to it,’ the TV star explained.
‘I think with editing I don’t know, I’m not sure if we actually put that part into that fight [on the show],’ she said. They didn’t.
‘So, he was really certain that he didn’t want that on the dress and had mentioned it multiple times. And that was still on there so we did have that discussion.’
But then Kim caved in to Kanye.
A new look: The siren looked more demure while on The Real as she wore a snakeskin print top and had her hair pulled back
‘I obviously want to be appropriate for my children and there’s enough for them to see already,’ said the star.
Kim has already posed nude for Playboy and Paper magazine.
‘I could tone it down a little bit. I totally compromise,’ said the pinup who came to fame via a sex tape.
The back story: ‘Well the dress initially since I was wet coming out of the water, there were nipples attached to it,’ the TV star explained. ‘I think with editing I don’t know, I’m not sure if we actually put that part into that fight [on the show],’ she said
During an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kanye said he was now not all right with Kim’s bombshell look.
‘I went through this transition where being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, like, “Oh my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing their body off.” I didn’t realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone who is married and the father of now … about to be four kids,’ he said on the show.
‘A corset is a form of underwear, it’s hot, for who though?’
He told her these things the night before the Met Gala when there was not much she could do to change the look. She and the Mugler team had worked for eight months to get the look right.
‘So the night before the Met you’re going to come in here and say that you’re not into a corset vibe?’ she said.
‘You’re giving me really bad anxiety. You knew last night I had really bad anxiety and I don’t need any more negative energy and for you say you’re now not into me wearing a tight dress.’
West did not cave. ‘You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.’
The Kim had a good point: ‘You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this, and just because you’re on a journey and transformation doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot with you.’
While on The Real she also talked more about Kanye’s new way of thinking.
Things have even gotten to the point that the couple have removed the televisions from their children’s rooms and even took away daughter North’s, six, make-up.
What will Kanye say? Kim Kardashian’s daughter North wore bright red lipstick and nail polish along with a devil costume on Halloween last week
Bedrock: The couple have four children: North, three-year-old son Saint, 21-month-old daughter Chicago, and five-month-old son Psalm (seen during Halloween last week)
The 39-year-old reality star was asked if she supports her the rapper’s new spiritual life journey as she replied: ‘I do think that, you know, he is my husband.
‘So, I obviously want to honor him and what he’s feeling. And he’s been going through this life change, and it’s mostly about the kids.’
She said that as the children – North, three-year-old son Saint, 21-month-old daughter Chicago, and five-month-old son Psalm – are getting older, Kanye has become increasingly cautious about the type of imagery that is in their home.
Kim explained: ‘We got rid of TVs in the kids’ rooms and removed makeup from North’s room – and he’s been very… had this, you know, epiphany of being this – not that he wasn’t an amazing dad – but being a little bit more strict as a dad and being very forceful on the imagery that’s in our household and what they see.
A whole new Kim? The looker was covered up when she stepped out with Kanye in New York City on Wednesday
She said that she agrees that such drastic measures are good for their children but it has been a bone of contention when it comes to Kim herself.
The reality star explained: ‘But I’m always gonna be me… and so, we had that discussion and that fight.’
The audience applauded Kim’s statement about standing up for herself before she admitted that compromise is essential to a healthy relationship.
She said: ‘I think, at the end of the day that’s what marriage is. He’s gonna do things that I don’t agree with, and I support him, and vice versa.
‘So, with this, it was like we were like just having this conversation of what is too much and I am a mother of four, like, I am gonna be forty next year, like, when is it time too…’
The middle Kardashian sister is cut off by the audience’s applause about her age when host Tamera Mowry-Housely asks her to clarify if she is talking about Kanye’s religious journey.
Kim explained: ‘Yes. And just where he’s gone in his life and maybe things that he did a year ago, he probably wouldn’t be doing today.
‘And I love that beautiful journey, as well. And I think that is such a great example for our kids. Um… but, you know, there’s also that fine line of, you know, staying firm and doing what you feel comfortable with.
‘And I take a little bit of him and I respect what he’s saying and I totally compromise.’
Kanye began doing his weekly Sunday Service in January and currently has the No. 1 album on the Billboard charts with his first ever gospel release: Jesus Is King.
