Little Mix picked Christmas Day for their first snap without Jesy Nelson as they sent their fans a cute festive message.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall beamed in the photo after a challenging end to a very difficult year.

The girls are still coming to terms with Jesy's decision to step aside – but have vowed to carry on as a three.

So are their loyal fans, so the girls gave them a Christmas morning lift with the fun festive picture.

The captioned it: "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Mixers. We hope you have the most magical day xx".

It's been a tough end to 2020 after Jesy decided the time was right to say goodbye.

Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jade said passionately that Little Mix will continue without her because they are 'not ready' for their music journey to be over.

"After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix," the band wrote.

"This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy.

"We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.

"We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over.

"We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us."

In a moving statement, Jesy admitted earlier this month that the band had 'taken a toll on her mental health'.

She confirmed was stepping away to focus on spending time with her loved ones.

"The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard," the star said in the message.

"There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin the process.
