Love Island’s Georgia Townend has decided to go back to work as a marketing executive after her brief stint in the villa.
The 28-year-old used her work pass for the first time since leaving to go on the show and joked that she wasn’t sure if she had been sacked.
“Will my pass let me in? Or have I been sacked?”, she said on her Instagram stories.
As it was her first day back since returning from the villa, Georgia went on to say: “Yaay, it’s let me in. Made it to work, but can I make it through the day, that’s the real question.”
During her time in the Love Island villa, Georgia enjoyed a fledgling romance with Hugo Hammond, but it was not long before it fizzled out.
As she didn’t try it on with the other lads, it ultimately led to her being dumped from the island.
Georgia, however, has no regrets about her time on Love Island. “I entered the villa with honest intentions, I was hopeful that despite being an unorthodox method, there could be a real prospect of meeting someone,” she said on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, things don’t always pan out the way you’d hoped, but if you learn a lesson, it’s always the tuition fee.”
Compared to the other girls who normally go on Love Island, Georgia confessed that she can’t “flirt to save my life, “and apparently I have dreadful fashion sense but despite these obvious shortcomings, I wanted to represent normal girls who struggle to date, aren’t interested in the social equity and had a genuine desire to find someone.”
After being dumped from the island, Georgia said of Hugo: “I think we would have made a good match; he was really eloquent, polite. I’m not sure why there wasn’t a spark.”
Before joining Love Island, Essex girl Georgia revealed that she had been single for five years.
Even before setting foot in the villa, Georgia already had her sights set on Hugo, saying: “He is my absolute number one, and I can’t wait to get to know him.”
When asked about what she likes in a man, Georgia said: “Someone who we can have solid flirt to roast ratio, as he can tease me but he will treat these things that I care about with respect and with the clemency they deserve.”
