Luann de Lesseps wants to take cabaret show national
Page Six has learned that — buoyed by the success of her cabaret show, “The Countess and Friends” — Luann de Lesseps wants to take the show on a national tour, and hopes to sign a deal with a major tour promoter.
Insiders say that in spite of her winter arrest, de Lesseps is feeling on top of the world because of the sold-out hit.
“In spite of everything, she’s feeling really great about herself. Like, really great,” said a source close to the star. “It’s all because of the [cabaret] show.”
De Lesseps had been at something of a low ebb before the Broadway-heavy show debuted at Feinstein’s/54 Below in February. She was arrested for intoxication and battery at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla., just before Christmas 2017, after she was discovered with an unidentified man in a hotel room that wasn’t hers, then refused to leave.
She pleaded not guilty back in January, but recently appeared to have taken a plea deal. She’s due back in court in July.
She made the ordeal part of her live show, reportedly joking that she had scrubbed songs like “Jailhouse Rock” and “I Fought the Law” from the setlist.
