Mac Miller’s Friend Says Ariana Grande Was The MOST Supportive Of His Sobriety

Obviously it’s ridiculous (and frankly sexist) to blame a woman for her ex overdosing on drugs after their breakup.

Sadly that’s just what some fans did to Ariana Grande, literally telling her Mac Miller‘s death was her fault in her Instagram comments.

Not only were these commenters rude and insensitive, they also had no effing idea what was really going on.

Mac’s friend Shane Powers took to his podcast, The Shane Show, to set the record straight.

And he says Ariana was hugely supportive of Mac getting sober, recalling:

“They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up. She was a f**king G to him. There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana. I saw that, I was around it. I took phone calls from her. ‘How do I help,’ ‘What do I do?’”

He continued, speaking some hard truths about his friend:

“This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy. Because whether he was an addict of not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy. I gotta tell you, man, there was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober. She was an unbelievably stabilizing force in his life.”

Sounds like strangers on the Internet making wild assumptions got it as wrong as they could get it. Knock us over with a feather.
