TOWIE's Mark Wright has paid tribute to his co-star Mick Norcross following his tragic death.

Mick, who found fame as boss of Sugar Hut nightclub on the show, was found dead at his Essex home on Thursday afternoon.

In a haunting tweet he posted earlier that day, Mick wrote: "At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough." Mick's death is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Three weeks before he died, his son Kirk, who also stars on TOWIE, shared a snap of him smiling with his dad, captioned: "Me and the big man."

The star's death was brought up as Mark was being interviewed on Lorraine on Friday.

Mark described Mick as “such a nice guy” who was “so welcoming”.

Lorraine said: "Some terribly sad news this morning about your very good friend Mick Norcross from TOWIE, who sadly has died. The times right now are so tough and I know that’s hit all of you who really loved him."

Mark then emotionally told of how heartbroken Kirk will be over the loss of his beloved father.

He said: "I mean I knew Mick quite well, I wasn’t very close close to him so I’m not going to spend too long talking about it I just want to send my condolences and love to the family. Kirk must be broken hearted.

"What I did know of Mick, he was such a gentleman. He was such a nice guy and he was always so welcoming at his club and it’s just so sad.

"If you know anyone out there today, I think the message is, just talk and ask them if they’re okay. And if you’re feeling down talk to a family member because we hear this too much, too often now.

"That’s what these kind of situations hit hardest when you think that maybe somebody could have spoken."

After Mick was found at his home, police confirmed: "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January."

Mick is survived by Kirk, and his other sons Mason, Daniel and daughter Hollie.

Fellow former TOWIE star Mario Falcone, who was among the original members of the TOWIE cast alongside Mark Wright and Lucy Mecklenburgh, led tributes to Mick as he re-shared the tweet the nightclub owner had posted.

Mario wrote: "Shocked and heartbroken," with a broken heart emoji. He added: "RIP my friend. You were the perfect gentlemen and I am thankful I got the privilege of having you in my life," with a red heart emoji
