After splitting up in March this year, exes Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard nearly risked bumping into each other as they attended the same event on Thursday night.

Maura, 29, and Curtis, 24, both attended Thorpe Park's Fright Nights but thankfully there wasn't any frights, as they didn't end up coming face to face.

The Irish lass wore a black puffer jacket, some flared ripped jeans and trainers, while wearing her hair in a messy high bun.

Despite appearing on different series of Love Island, Maura arrived with fellow Islanders Georgia Steel and Chris Hughes.

Meanwhile, Curtis attended the event with brother AJ Pritchard and his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen.

The professional dancer, who quit Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year, wore a colourful shirt, a black fleeced jacket and a pair of black jeans.

No doubt Curtis was enjoying a night away from his love life drama as he recently confirmed his split from fellow dancer Amber Pierson.

Confirming the news to The Daily Mail, the reality star said: "I am not in a relationship at all. I am completely single and concentrating on work at the moment.

"I did start to see somebody after lockdown but it fizzled out," he admitted.

Although he had nothing but nice things to say about Amber, Curtis explained that he wanted to prioritise his work.

"I want to focus on my future so unfortunately the young lady that I did start to see – she was lovely and fantastic, I literally couldn't say a bad word about that girl but it just wasn't meant to be.

"We're still friends but I want to focus on my work. I wouldn't have been able to give it the time that it needed and it would have been unfair. We were only seeing each other for about four weeks in the end," the Love Island star revealed.

It was alleged that Curtis cheated on Maura with Amber, but both Curtis and Amber denied the allegations.

The exes met on last year's Love Island and made it all the way to the final, before bagging the fourth place spot.

The pair were together for eight months before calling it quits in March this year.

"We tried to make it work but it wasn't to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future," Maura told her Instagram followers.
