Nadia Sawalha: Loose Women host ‘broken and struggling’ after lockdown concern ‘Bad news’

Loose Women: Nadia Sawalha discusses ‘orgasmic’ birth

Loose Women host Nadia Sawalha, 56, admitted she was “f****d off” while in lockdown as the presenter shared her difficult struggles. The ITV star revealed it would be a “lie” if she claimed to be doing well during the current coronavirus pandemic which has seen much of the UK endure a third lockdown.

Taking to Instagram, Nadia shared a photo of herself sporting a frown as the presenter addressed her dilemma.

In view of her 365,000 followers, she began: “Really struggling today. Feel so flat.

“I was going to post something funny, something jolly, something silly, but actually it would have been a full-on lie.

“I don’t feel any of those things. Like so many of you, I talk to, I feel wary. This lockdown feels endless doesn’t it?”

Nadia continued: “I’m weary of trying to make bad news sound hopeful, I’m wary of missing other humans, I’m weary of being broken-hearted for the world.

“I’m just good old a fashioned f****d off and it would definitely have been wrong to give you an ‘insta image.’ So sorry about this one it’s all I’ve got to give!”

The Loose Women host urged her followers to share their concerns, as she concluded: “Come on! Have a purge! What are you MOST weary of?”

Fans flooded the comment section, as many people shared their issues while in lockdown.

One wrote: “Everything you’ve said I’ve been feeling today. Couldn’t be positive or put brave face on then heard the sad news of Captain Tom. It’s been a tough day.”

Nadia replied: “Yes, the news broke me.”

Another penned: “I think the news about Sir Captain Tom Moore has broken me today can’t stop crying.”

Nadia admitted she could relate, as she replied: “Me too.”

“Let yourself have these days, it’s OK. We fight on darling and hope tomorrow feels a little better,” a third person added.

Nadia’s candid post comes after it was announced that Sir Captain Tom Moore had died at the age of 100, following a battle with coronavirus.

The World War Two veteran became a national hero last year after raising almost £33 million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

Today, his family confirmed he has died, and they were with him at the time.

He had been treated for pneumonia over the past few weeks and tested positive for Covid-19 last week.

Meanwhile, Nadia regularly gives fans insight into her home life on Instagram.

The ITV host shares two daughters, Maddy, 18, and Kiki, 13, with her husband Mark Adderley.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
