Queen’s ‘I Want To Break Free’ Featured In New Doritos Super Bowl Ad

Queen‘s “I Want To Break Free” soundtracks Doritos new Super Bowl ad featuring a “flat” Matthew McConaughey.

In the new 60-second ad, Queen’s 1984 hit “I Want to Break Free” can be heard as a 2D version of McConaughey is shown struggling with everyday tasks, including catching a football, getting a morning coffee and walking his dog.

“Lately, I just haven’t been feeling quite like myself. Life used to feel fuller. Some days are harder than others. It’s like I used to be on solid ground,” McConaughey says in a voice over before he makes an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“Did you drive here or did you travel by fax?” Kimmel says, making fun of his “flat” figure.

On his way back home, the actor finds a vending machine filled with Doritos’ new 3D Crunch. He slides inside the machine and takes a bite of the snack, which solves his problem as he puffs back up.
However, he gets himself stuck inside the vending machine.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7.
